How It Works

Learning together
Participants engage with carefully selected books, articles, TED Talks, and other shared learning experiences centered on themes such as well-being, education, belonging, leadership, community, and humanity's greatest needs.

Share Perspectives
Students, senior citizens, and community members gather in small groups to discuss ideas, exchange experiences, and learn from one another through meaningful dialogue.

Build Community
Students, senior citizens, and community members gather in small groups to discuss ideas, exchange experiences, and learn from one another through meaningful dialogue.
Build Community
Through recurring conversations, participants develop relationships, strengthen leadership and communication skills, and contribute to more connected and compassionate communities.
Exploring Humanity’s Greatest Needs
PFTA discussions are inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and explore topics that affect individuals, communities, and society.
By connecting global challenges to local conversations, PFTA encourages participants to think critically, learn from one another, and consider how they can contribute to positive change.
Through books, articles, TED Talks, and shared dialogue, participants engage with themes such as:
-
Health and well-being
-
Education
-
Belonging and inclusion
-
Community resilience
-
Stewardship
-
Civic engagement
-
Human flourishing

Stronger Communities Begin With Conversation.
When people come together to share stories, exchange perspectives, and listen with openness, relationships deepen and communities grow stronger.
